About Me
Hello, I’m José Maldonado, a proud veteran and FAA-certified drone pilot. With over six years of drone flying experience, I turned my passion into a profession by launching MAL-DRONE-ADO, LLC, proudly serving Kentucky and the surrounding communities.
I was born in Puerto Rico and raised in New York, and I enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1987 as a Combat Medic. Over my 23-year career, I served in many roles—including Flight Medic on Black Hawks, Drill Sergeant, Tank Commander, Army Recruiter, and Human Resources Specialist—and deployed to Desert Shield/Storm and Iraqi Freedom. I moved to Kentucky in 2004 for duty at Fort Knox and have called it home ever since.
I’ve been married for 34 years and am the proud father of five children with six amazing grandchildren. When I’m not flying drones, I enjoy camping, hiking, and woodworking. My goal with MAL-DRONE-ADO, LLC is simple: to capture stunning aerial photography, cinematic 4K video, and memorable event coverage, turning your vision into breathtaking images from above.
